East Sweden Bridge

McCulloch County

Near Brady, Texas

History

This 80-foot bridge was built around 1900 to accommodate horse-and-wagon traffic between rural farms and Brady, the county seat. It's now used as a footbridge. The location, Onion Creek, was a common watering hole for soldiers who patrolled the West Texas frontier in pre-Civil War times.
