Spans the East Navidad River near Schulenburg, Texas
This narrow 80-foot Pratt through-truss bridge, crossed here by a 1957 classic Thunderbird, was built over the East Navidad River by Fayette County in 1885 from prefabricated materials shipped by bridge builders in Ohio. Such 'kits' were low-cost alternatives for counties wanting to help farmers drive their horse-drawn wagons to market.
