Bridges along the San Antonio Riverwalk

Bexar County

San Antonio River, San Antonio, Texas

History

One level below the streets of downtown San Antonio, the Paseo del Rio (Riverwalk) meanders along the San Antonio River for several miles through midtown. Giant cypress trees, palms and tropical plants line the walk, as well as shops and restaurants. Half-hour scenic riverboat cruises pass under city streets and bridges including South Alamo, Lojoya, Presa, Navarro, St. Mary's, Market, Commerce and Crockett.
